Fortune teller
1. Fold a sheet of A4 (letter size) paper along
dotted line.

2. Cut off excess paper.

3. Open out and fold corner to corner.

4. Take one corner and fold it into the centre. Repeat with other 3 corners.

5. Turn the piece of paper over.

6. Take a corner and fold it into the centre. Repeat with other corners.

7. Repeat with other corners.

8. Fold in half.

9. Push your thumb and index fingers into the outer flaps until it turns into a chatterbox shape.

Looking at the fortune teller from above you can see that it can be opened in two directions - forwards and backwards, or right to left.

10. Fold it flat again to write on colours, numbers and answers.

How to Play:

 

● Ask a question.

 

● Choose one of the colours from the outside of the fortune teller (example: red). Open the fortune teller alternately in one direction and then the other three times - once for each letter of the colour red.

 

● Choose one of the numbers visible inside the fortune teller (example: 4). Open fortune teller alternately in one direction and then the other four times.

 

● Choose another number from those visible and lift up the flap which has that number written on it. Read the answer beneath.

 

● Variations: You can make any variation you like to the game: flowers instead of colours, or comments instead of answers. You can even put pieces of advice inside or favourite quotations!
